民国年间隶下新宝堡，建国前有枫木林农会，1962年改为大队，1983年建乡，1987年改称村民委员会，1989年改设管理区办事处，1999年起复称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

当地从前长着一大片枫木林，村名由此而来。[2]
