横源村是信宜市新宝镇所辖的行政村，在镇的南部。博雅地名网所载数据：全村分29个村民小组，570户、3027人，总面积8.7平方千米，耕地994亩。[1]

1949年解放后属新宝公社的横源大队，划归信宜县，1983年建乡，1987年改称新宝镇下的横源村民委员会，1989年改设管理区办事处，1999年起复称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
地名由来[edit]
横源河在下游汇入白龙河，对白龙河而言是横向流入，横源河下游流经之地便称横源。[2]

横源村年平均气温21.3摄氏度，年降雨量约1477至1985毫米，属南亚热带季风气候。[1]
经济[edit]
村里种植的主要经济作物是三华李、茶叶、柑橘；特色收入来源有氹仔鱼、三华李、茶叶。据同一网站所载，上一年全村农村经济总收入1276万元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
- 2023年5月获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
