山口村是钱排镇下辖的行政村，在镇的南部[1]。辖5个村民小组，有604户、3346人，面积23.6平方千米，耕地2500亩（博雅地名网村情，未注明年份）[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

民国时属马贵西乡第二堡；解放初为钱排第十三区第二村；于1961年成为达垌公社山口大队，于1963年达垌与钱排并社后仍称山口大队[1]。于1982年改山口乡，于1986年改称村民委员会，于1989年一度称管理区办事处，于1999年起叫山口村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。

地名由来[edit]

村地处高州与阳春两地山区的交界口，故称山口[2]

经济[edit]

村情介绍称，当地年均气温20摄氏度，年降雨量约590毫米，气候较为高寒；种植蔬菜、玉米，收入来源有反季节蔬菜、养殖和小水电，其中养猪、养兔以自然放养见长（未注明年份）[1]。

荣誉[edit]

广东省农业农村厅2020年8月公布的「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」中有山口村，作物为三华李[1]。山口村在2019年9月被列为「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位[1]。
