这里1958年叫低山大队，1963年曾称木浪大队，后几个大队合并仍用低山之名；1983年改称宝山乡，1999年起为现今的村民委员会。[1]

丰产林占地5400亩，是主要的经济作物，另有蚕桑200亩，槟榔、橡胶各100亩，并种淮山、香蕉。[1]
