西坑村位于广东省茂名市高州市长坡镇，属镇下辖的村民委员会[1]。村处长山与北山之间的谷地，居民聚在西侧山坑旁，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据地名志类资料，1958年划归上游公社；长坡公社1960年成立时，以莲圹管区西坑片立西坑大队；1961至1962年间属西坑公社管区；1963年随西坑公社一道划归长坡公社时，西坑、关坟、佛祖河、平山坡四队汇合，成为今日的西坑大队。1983年起称乡，1986年称农村管理区，1999年后为村民委员会。[1]

  • 2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号[1]
  • 2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名单」[1]
