历史沿革[edit]
康熙五十七年（1718年），村口建有一庙，庙西有溪，叫西坑溪。道光十一年（1831年）梯面立镇之初，这里的名字由西坑溪改为西坑村。1949年10月建梯面乡时，西坑为九村；1951年属梯西乡，1953年1月划归四和乡；1959年成立西坑大队[1]。
经济[edit]
村里有水电站1座，村集体种白榄350亩；村民部分外出务工，部分在王子山景区做工，不少人自己开办农家乐，油菜花节期间农副产品随之外销[1]。村所在一带规划为王子山森林公园的西坑山村观光游览区[2]。
荣誉[edit]
西坑村获「广东省卫生村」称号（2021年12月），2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。
