西坑村是广东省梅州市大埔县大东镇的一个行政村，在大东镇东部。全村辖15个村民小组，358户1642人，总面积8571.3亩，耕地999亩，种植沙田柚和蜜柚。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
相传在与福建交界处有一条小坑，坑边多生茜草，称茜坑，村以此得名；“茜”与“西”在客家话里读音相同，后写作西坑。清代初期，邱姓人家从大埔县湖寮龙岗黄泥塘迁来建村。1958年10月属百侯公社东光大队，1983年称西坑乡，1986年称西坑村，1988年称西坑管理区，1998年起为西坑村民委员会。[1]
荣誉与文化[edit]
2019年9月，西坑村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
