贺亨村是高州市大坡镇的行政村，旧名鹅公冲，一个除蛇的传说解释了村名由来。[1]

名称由来[edit]

博雅地名网记述，此村原叫鹅公冲，相传远古有两条凶恶的鹅公蛇祸害村民，一位道士施法除去了它们，此后风调雨顺、民众安泰，人们为庆贺而称贺亨。该页的沿革部分另有一说：此地有六条坑水汇入河段，原叫河坑，1785年改为贺亨。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1957年至1959年间为贺亨高级社，归大坡管区；1960年起称贺亨大队，1983年起叫贺亨乡，1986年起叫农村管理区，1999年起由贺亨村民委员会管理。[1]

荣誉[edit]

该村进入省卫生村名录是在2019年10月，早一个月又被纳入省「民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位名单（2018年度）。[1]
