大旺垌村是高州市大坡镇的行政村，古称木赖埇，是竹制品专业村，2021年入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。[1]
名称由来[edit]
这里古时叫木赖埇。解放后，尤其是合作化时期，农民生产和生活较为兴旺，于是改叫大旺垌。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名取自大旺垌自然村。1957至1958年有大旺垌、六迪两个高级社，1959年归大坡管区；1960年起另有六迪、大旺垌两个大队，到1963年合并成大旺垌大队。1983年起叫大旺垌乡，1986年起叫农村管理区，1999年起由村民委员会管理。[1]
经济与荣誉[edit]
省农业农村厅2021年9月公布第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，该村以竹制品入选；同年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。2019年9月进入2018年度省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
