军堡村是高州市大坡镇的行政村，村名与清代起义军驻扎，或清末乡人结堡自卫的说法有关，2021年被评为广东省卫生村。[1]

名称由来[edit]

博雅地名网记了两种说法：一说清代太平天国时期，凌十八的部将何明科率队驻在村中一座城堡里，村名由此而来；另一说清末匪患严重，乡人联合自卫，筑堡聚守，因称军堡。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1957年至1959年间为军堡高级社；1960年起另有高车、军堡两个大队，到1963年合并成军堡大队。1983年起叫军堡乡，1986年起叫农村管理区，1999年起由村民委员会管理。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号，2019年9月进入2018年度省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
