新华村隶属广东省茂名市高州市的云潭镇，为行政村，2019年入选「第一批国家森林乡村」。[1]村名取自新农大队的“新”字和旧时的华亭庙的“华”字。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村里原有一座华亭庙，新中国成立后拆除。1960年，新华与新农分开设队，取“新农”的“新”和“华亭庙”的“华”，定名新华大队；1983年起称新华乡，1986年又变为农村管理区，1999年定名为新华村民委员会，此名用到现在。[1]
