历史沿革[edit]
1960年前后，榕木塘按自然村名成立大队，1983年起称榕木塘乡，1986年又变为农村管理区，1999年定名为榕木塘村民委员会，此名用到现在。[1]

百度百科记载，村域约1.5平方千米，分6条自然村，设11个村民小组，户籍人口3652人（该词条未注明年份）；耕地种水稻、花生、甘薯，荔枝和蔬菜是特色产业；汕湛高速黄岭出口的黄云联络线从村中穿过，村民2023年人均收入大约2.3万元。[2]该村在2019年被评为广东省卫生村。[2]
