历史沿革[edit]
垌头于1960年建立大队；1983年起称垌头乡，1986年又变为农村管理区，1999年定名为垌头村民委员会，此名用到现在。[1]
爆皮王番薯[edit]
省农业农村厅在2020年8月公布「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」，垌头村以“爆皮王”番薯名列其中。[1]博雅地名网说，这种番薯红皮黄肉，蒸熟后表皮开裂，村里种植的历史很长。[1]百度百科的“爆皮王番薯”词条称，这一品种在当地种了2300多亩，年产量两千多吨，2017年被评为“广东名薯”。[2]
