历史沿革[edit]

1950年设塘头大队，2002年改为塘头居民委员会，沿用至今[1]。

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区靠近塘尾新城开发区和省道373线，办有工业小区，发展拉丝、废塑料回收、胶料和羽绒加工，解决2000多人就业，每年上缴税金100多万元；社区的关心下一代工作小组被评为广东省先进单位[2]。2019年9月，社区名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]。
