田头村是南三镇下辖的行政村，城乡分类为镇乡结合区，村内有湛江市文物保护单位陈氏小宗祠，旅居越南的陈上川出生于此[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

1950年设田头乡，属吴川县滨海区；1952年改属吴川县第九区，1953年随该区划入雷东县；1958年雷东县撤销后归湛江市郊区，田头乡同年改为田头大队，隶南三公社。1984年6月坡头区成立后，田头一带归南三区公所；1987年称村民委员会，1990年称管理区，1999年再称村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。2002年，南三社区从田头村民委员会分出[3]。

名胜古迹[edit]

陈氏小宗祠在村内，朝向坐北朝南，砖木结构，正面三开间宽18.5米，纵深合计42.9米，总面积约793平方米，屋顶为悬山顶，边缘镶琉璃瓦；门廊四根石柱，相传是陈上川派船从越南南方运回的石材。祠内留有“陈氏小宗祠”木匾一块和陈上川及其母、妻的画像各一幅，画像是族人年节祭祖时悬挂的祖像[2]。祠始建于清康熙二十九年（1690年），1999年9月15日公布为湛江市文物保护单位[2][4]。

著名人物[edit]

陈上川（1626年—1715年或1720年），号义略，生于田头村，明末清初曾任郑氏政权的高、廉、雷三州总兵。1679年他率部众赴越南南方，在边和、湄公河口一带开垦，被阮氏政权封为“嘉定都督”，其部属后来成为越南明乡人的一支[2][5][6]。卒年一说1715年（百度百科），一说1720年（维基百科）[5][6]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，田头村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单；2021年1月，同时进入湛江市2020年度全市文明村与全市先进文明村两份名单；2026年3月，被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」[1]。
