麻弄村是南三镇下辖的行政村，位于镇北部，下辖麻弄、东边塘、新定、洞尾4条自然村，村民以冼、谭二姓为主[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

据百度百科，冼姓先祖在明嘉靖四年（1525年）从吴川马兆迁来，村初名“马兆村”，后改“马弄村”，又因读音相近演变成“麻弄”。清康熙三十二年（1693年），吴川樟木村的移民迁入，沿用原籍村名，称“樟木村”，形成冼、谭两姓聚居的局面[2]。

麻弄先后归南米乡（1950年）、田头乡（1953年）和南米大队（1958年）管辖；1961年单独成立麻弄大队，属南三公社，1963年又并入南米乡。1987年，麻弄自南米村委会分出，另设村委会，归南三镇；1990年称管理区，1999年改称村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。百度百科的说法不同：村委会的前身是1986年7月设立的麻弄管理区，1999年5月改为现名[2]。

地理环境[edit]

村域东边是光明垉水库，南面是田头圩，西边紧挨田头和南米两村，隔海与乾塘相望；总面积4平方千米，户籍人口3960人（词条未注明统计年份）；土地中耕地二千三百多亩、林地1253亩、海滩涂一千五百多亩[2]。

经济[edit]

村里以种植业和养殖业为主，种水稻、花生、番薯等作物，另开发经济林200余亩，鱼虾塘500亩，浮水鱼垉1000多亩[2]。
