田头村是梅州市梅县区丙村镇辖下的一个行政村，以旧时的粮食集散得名。[1]
地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，此地旧时耕地多而集中，以产粮、售粮为主，外地人前来买粮，当地因此被称作田头社，后称田头村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
田头在明代归万安都，清末归嘉应州金盘堡，1948年成为梅县金盘乡的一部分，新中国成立后仍在丙村区金盘乡。1958年它转入丙村人民公社，是田头大队；1983年建银田乡，1988年改设田头管理区，1999年起为田头村委会。[1]
