历史沿革[edit]

茅村与源水在1950年同属茅源乡，1958年并入茅源公社，1964年两村各自分开，茅村独立为大队；1983年改称茅村乡，1986年建村民委员会，1989年由村改为管理区，1999年重设村民委员会，此后一直沿用[1]。2019年9月，茅村被列为2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位[1]。
