合水社区是佛山市高明区更合镇的居民委员会，驻地在合水圩，名称由此而来；原合水镇的镇政府即设在这里[1][2]。社区西北与肇庆市高要区活道镇相邻[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，合水圩属景顺乡的零星集市，中华人民共和国成立后称合水圩（合水农贸市场）[1]。合水社区居民委员会最早设于1987年2月，1991年一度作居委会管理区；1999年重建，隶高明市合水镇，到2005年高明区调整镇街区划，才并入更合镇[1]。

地理与人口[edit]

社区总面积约2.53平方千米，东与布练、宅布两村相邻，南与良村相连；辖塘口、芦坪两条自然村和南水、北水、大坪三个居民小组[2]。村情材料（未注明年份）记有546户，常住人口4123人，户籍人口1692人，党员75人；办公楼共三层，建筑面积1000平方米[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

合水革命烈士纪念碑在合水圩先烈路的沙帽岗顶，1988年建成，混凝土结构，呈菱形，高约15米，碑上刻有51名烈士的名字，是高明区的爱国主义教育基地[3]。
