地名由来[edit]
辖区西边出水口处有两条小溪汇合，称合水，因与信宜合水镇同名，1975年改称绿水[2]。
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，该村的名称与建制依次为：民国时期：（环球）德良南第六堡、解放初期：第六村民委员会、绿水（1975年）、乡政府（1983年）、村民委员会（1987年）、管理区办事处（1989年）、复称村民委员会（1999年）[1]。
