白沙社区原为白沙村，在大沥镇东面，面积2.66平方公里，辖九个村民小组，由陈溪、冲口、兴龙、兴联、南滘五个自然村组成。[1]

居民1769户，常住约五千，外来暂住者八千左右。[1]

经济[edit]

股份集团公司设9个分公司，是村里的经济支柱。传统的藤器工艺之外，又发展了汽车运输、工艺品、塑料制品、化工、五金、电子、皮具等行业，经济重心由工业转向商贸。[1]

2009年全村农村经济总收入约12.5亿元，集体经济纯收入2827万元，人均股份分红2139元。2003年白沙村评为广东省卫生村。[1]
