东仙社区是汕头市潮南区陇田镇东北角的一个社区，坐落在和惠公路两侧。名称由东里、仙坡两个旧村名各取一字而成，村域约4.5平方千米；2019年6月列入第五批中国传统村落名录，社区内的东里古寨是百度百科所称的省级文物保护单位。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区的前身是东里、仙坡两片聚落：上厝与东里合称东里，草埔与塘下合称草埔，草埔又叫仙坡，取两名之首字便成「东仙」。[2] 村子始创于明崇祯年间（1628—1644年），明、清到民国初年属潮阳县峡山都，民国时划入第七区。[2]

新中国成立初期，上厝、东里、草埔、塘下四处同归沙陇乡管。此后的名称依次是：东仙大队（1958年）、东仙乡（1983年）、东仙居委会（1986年）、东仙管理区（1992年），到1999年又改回居委会。[2]

经济与人口[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区户籍人口5885人，共1085户，辖有耕地六百余亩、鱼池六百余亩、山地两千八百余亩；主要企业做袜业、服装和纸品，农林渔业也有一定规模。[2] 百度百科则称它是以农业为主的社区，同时发展乡村旅游。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

东里古寨始建于清乾隆初年，百度百科称其为省级文物保护单位。[1] 荣誉方面：传统村落名录第五批（2019年6月）；广东省民主法治示范村（社区），2023年度，于2024年1月确定；广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村（2026年1月）。[2]
