东湖村是珠海市斗门区白蕉镇下辖的行政村，1976年10月始建，是白蕉公社为开发东湖沙部而从周边村子迁来近百户村民形成的村落。[1]

地名由来[edit]

20世纪70年代初，白藤堵海工程完成，白藤大闸截断了原来的妮湾门水道和黄镜门水道，围出白藤湖：妮湾门水道称「西湖」，黄镜门水道称「东湖」，村名因此得来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1976年围垦成田，次年白蕉公社在此办农场。1984年农场停办，改为乡级单位东湖乡，属白蕉区公所；1986年起称东湖村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

东湖村在2020年、2021年、2022年连续入选全国淘宝村名单；2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
