地名由来[edit]
20世纪70年代初，白藤堵海工程完成，白藤大闸截断了原来的妮湾门水道和黄镜门水道，围出白藤湖：妮湾门水道称「西湖」，黄镜门水道称「东湖」，村名因此得来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1976年围垦成田，次年白蕉公社在此办农场。1984年农场停办，改为乡级单位东湖乡，属白蕉区公所；1986年起称东湖村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
东湖村在2020年、2021年、2022年连续入选全国淘宝村名单；2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
