地名由来[edit]
民间传说，刘伯温游历到此，望见东边海面隐约浮着两盏红灯笼，认定是风水宝地，留下「灯笼有火，白藤有市」的预言，「灯笼沙」之名由此传开。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国后称灯笼村，属中山县白蕉乡；1965年起编为灯笼大队，划归斗门县白蕉公社；1984年改作灯笼乡，1986年起称灯笼村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
灯笼村列入2020年8月公布的首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单（白蕉海鲈）。[1]
