东街社区是广州市增城区新塘镇下辖的社区居民委员会，城乡分类为镇中心区。社区名称取自位置：它在新塘镇城区中心的东侧，故称东街。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这里在1987年设新塘镇居委会，到2002年更名为东街社区居委会，此后未变。[1]

荣誉[edit]

广州市住房和城乡建设局在2022年11月把东街社区评为当年的绿色社区；它在2024年11月入选广州市充分就业社区（村）；2025年11月，又进入广东省未来社区（完整社区）建设试点名单。[1]
