东明社区是广东省广州市从化区吕田镇下辖的社区，区划代码440117107002，因旧日的东明镇得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区名取自它所在的原东明镇。1978年2月成立东明公社；2004年1月，东明镇原辖的东联、东坑、五和、坪地四个村和一个居委会并入吕田镇。博雅地名网记载，东明社区居民委员会设于1999年，沿用至今。[1][2]

经济[edit]

社区办公地点在东和街。

荣誉[edit]

  • 「广州市2022年绿色社区」，2022年11月由广州市住建部门认定。[1]
  • 2024年11月，被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
