吕中村属广州市从化区吕田镇，是该镇辖下的行政村。全村面积约9.84平方千米，就在吕田镇圩，国道105线贯穿，属丘陵地带；下设20个村民小组，博雅地名网记载总人口2205人（年份未注明）。[1]

村名取义于位置：它在吕田镇的中心，所以称吕中。吕中大队于1958年设立，大队部在镇中心；1983年12月改设吕中乡；1987年1月更名为吕中村民委员会，名称沿用到现在。[1]

村集体收入依靠传统种植与农产品加工，以花卉种植、水稻种植和农产品加工为主。距从化市区约56公里。[1]
