五和村属广州市从化区吕田镇，是该镇辖下的行政村。全村面积约9.7平方千米，在吕田镇西片，临吕东线（X262），在原东明镇政府大院对面；下设5个村民小组，博雅地名网记载总人口891人（年份未注明）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清初这里称五洞，即下和洞、上和洞、茅田、坪地、牛肚湾；民国末年取「五洞」的「五」与驻地下和洞的「和」，合称五和。五和大队于1958年设立；1983年12月改设五和乡；1987年1月更名为五和村民委员会，名称沿用到现在。[1]
经济[edit]
村里以生态为依托发展高山腊味等农副产品，主要收入来自沙糖桔、红柿和水稻。距从化市区约80公里，离吕田镇约20公里。[1]
