吕田社区属广州市从化区吕田镇，位于镇政府所在的圩镇一带，区划代码440117107001，2002年5月成立，下设6个居民小组。[1][2]

社区所在的圩市以吕田庙得名。博雅地名网引李氏族谱的记载称，宋代此地已有吕田庙；民国初年，镇上一位富人与白泥塘村人合买土地建圩，圩址靠近吕田庙，圩名即作吕田圩，「吕田」二字由此而来。[1]
