历史沿革[edit]
村名的由来是：当地草地的面积比水田大，故称草埔。草埔大队于1958年设立；1983年12月起同安山、塘田一道并入镇安乡；1987年1月重新分开，更名为草埔村民委员会，名称沿用到现在。[1]
经济[edit]
村里靠组织劳务输出和发展种植增加收入，旱地种水果，水田种稻，鱼塘养家鱼。距从化市区约54公里。[1]
