剑岭村在赤坭镇的东部，培正大道旁，离镇区不到1公里，土地面积9平方千米，耕地3000多亩，户籍总人口3397人（925户，博雅地名网，未注明年份），下辖13个村民经济合作社。[1]村后山岭形似一把长剑，故名剑岭。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代成村。高级农业社时期曾改为公社的经济作物农场，称农场大队；1984年底改剑岭乡，1986年底称剑岭村委会，1987年3月起归赤坭镇人民政府管辖。[1]

经济[edit]

集体经济以土地与物业出租为主，村里有私营（个体）企业42家以上。[1]镇里推动剑岭、黄沙塘片区的低效用地再开发，整合土地资源。[2]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2023年度广东省卫生村（2024年3月命名）。[1]
  • 2023年度“广州市美丽乡村”（2024年6月入选）。[1]
