白坭村在赤坭镇的西部，省道S114线旁，面积约10.16平方千米，分14个村民小组，人口2620多（博雅地名网，年份未注明）。因旧时白坭墟附近盛产白色瓷泥，附近不少山上也有白泥，所以叫白坭。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

白坭在1952年成立高级合作社，至1958年改为大队，1987年设立白坭村委会，先隶属赤坭区公所，当年3月起归赤坭镇人民政府管辖。[1]

经济[edit]

村距镇区约8公里，集体经济靠泥粉厂、胶管厂的场地租金；山上种速生桉，水田种水稻、花生，鱼塘养殖四大家鱼。[1]

  • “民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位（广东省2018年度名单，2019年9月公布）。[1]
  • 2022年度广东省卫生村（广东省爱卫会2023年5月授予）。[1]
