水口村位于长汀县西南部，地处汀江与濯田河的交汇口，村名因此而来，是中国传统古村落之一。[1][3]

地名由来[edit]

村子位于汀江与濯田河、刘坊河的交汇处，故称水口。[1]

红色遗迹[edit]

水口村是闽西革命老区的基点村。1929年，红四军二次入闽途经水口村的汀江古渡口，毛泽东为此写下「红旗跃过汀江，直下龙岩上杭」。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年10月，水口村列入第六批中国传统村落名录；2025年11月，水口村获评省级乡村振兴示范村（第二批）。[1]
