水口村位于县城西部、富屯溪上游，是止马镇的行政村，东面与鸾凤乡交界，北面与李坊乡相接。[1]

水运与街市[edit]

水口曾是水路枢纽。村中设有码头和驿站，止马、李坊一带以及江西东部进出光泽、邵武，乃至往南平、福州去的船只，多在此停靠，故自古为水上要道。[1][2]

村内的水口古街沿河而建，形状狭长，当地人称它「豆角街」。旧时码头、酒家、钱庄和当铺都临街，撑排工与商贾往来不绝。[2]

古迹[edit]

村中尚存明清古建筑十余处，主要有古寺庙、商会会馆、祠堂，以及老街的旧址。[2]

村部下游约五里处有龙安寺，寺始建于元代，清代与文革时期两次遭毁坏，现已基本修复。[2]

村中的红二十二军军部旧址，为县级文物保护单位，文物名录标注其时代为清代。[3]
