中和社区位于南平市区东部，东临江滨中路北段，因辖区旧名中和坊而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年前这里称中和坊。1956年6月设立中和居委会，文革期间改称战斗居委会，文革结束后又因地处中山二街而恢复中和居委会的名称；2002年转为中和社区居民委员会。[1]
