岭脚村是汤头乡的行政村，位于乡境西北部，海拔330米，东邻汤头村，西侧与尤溪县相接，全村土地总面积7.49平方千米。[1][3]

地名由来[edit]

村民建居于山岭之下，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这里设过汤尾关。[1]在明代，它归进城乡汤泉上团所辖；清代改隶梅上里的汤岭社，民国初年沿用清朝旧制。[1]

1935年设岭脚保，隶属葛岭乡。[1]1950年，此地划入第四区的葛坑乡，次年又转入第六区的民主乡；1952年另建岭脚乡，仍属第六区。[1]1956年归上涌区管辖。[1]

1958年，岭脚乡改为岭脚大队，划入葛坑公社；1960年转属上涌公社，1961年又改隶汤头公社。[1]1984年，村子改为汤头乡下辖的岭脚村，并设村委会。[1]

自然环境[edit]

村域属丘陵地带，昼夜温差较大，全年无霜期超过300天，适宜柑桔、早熟水蜜桃和甜潭蜜柚的种植。[1][3]

贵滨溪流经村域约6公里。[3]村中有一处清代的瓷窑遗址，称岭脚瓷窑垅窑，县里在第三次全国文物普查中将其登记为不可移动文物。[3]

人口与生活[edit]

2004年末统计，村内有315户，共1265人。[2]村里建了电站，并与县电网联网；彩色电视机、程控电话也进入了村民家中。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，岭脚村被确定为「泉州市2019-2021年度市级一村一品专业村（乡镇）」，主导产业为蜜柚。[1]
