新寨村隶属祥华乡，在乡政府驻地南约7.7公里处，海拔860米，辖14个自然村。村民主要为詹姓。村中九天胜境有两株古杉。[1][3]

地名由来[edit]

村内原有两座寨，分别称盛寨与佃寨美。与之相邻的一座古寨早已存在，因这两座寨建造得较晚，此地便称为新寨。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代属清溪县管辖；明清时列入多卿乡崇信里的侯洋保。1956年并入长坑区的双寨乡，1961年改为祥华公社下的新寨大队；1984年起成为祥华乡新寨村民委员会。[2]

古树与人文[edit]

九天胜境有两株古杉，据说是詹敦仁隐居佛耳山时所种，需三个成年人手拉手才能围抱树干一周。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2023年12月，村子被认定为「2023年度福建省一村一品专业村」（铁观音）。[1]
