赤坪村是汕头市潮南区雷岭镇下辖的行政村，在镇东北部，距镇区约4公里，辖赤新、赤老两个自然村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村址原在一片赤色竹林中，称赤竹坪，后简称赤坪。[1]建村时间为清康熙五十三年（1714年）。1958年起为赤坪大队，1983年划归麻埔乡，1986年更名赤坪村委会，1992年编入麻埔管理区，1999年复设村委会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
居民1594人，计294户，以陈姓为主；耕地296亩、山地5228亩，以荔枝为主，是经省确认的革命老区村。[1]2023年4月在「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单之列。[1]赤坪瀑布被百度百科列为雷岭镇景点之一。[2]
