双新村是汕头市潮南区雷岭镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区东侧，距镇区不到1公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
双新与双老原是同处双溪的一村，后分为两村。[1]清康熙元年（1662年）先祖迁来定居。1958年起为双新大队，1983年划归双溪乡，1986年更名双新村委会，1992年编入双溪管理区，1999年复设村委会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
居民1058人，计215户，以张姓为主；耕地169亩、山地1214亩，种荔枝、红柿、油甘，并有养殖和加工业。[1]2023年4月，双新村在「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单之列。[1]
