茶园村是汕头市潮南区雷岭镇下辖的行政村，在镇东部大南山山坳中，辖茶园、旗北、钟厝三个自然村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村周遍植油茶树（当地称茶籽树），故名茶园。[1]建村时间为明泰昌元年（1620年）。1958年起为茶园大队，1983年改为茶园乡，1986年一分为二，设茶园、旗北两个村委会，1992年改称管理区，1999年复设村委会，2004年两村委会合并为茶园村委会。[1]
农民协会旧址[edit]
土地革命时期，雷岭第一个农民协会在广东省农民协会发动下成立于此，会员七十余人，会址设在茶园村的古厝祠堂，祠堂至今尚存。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
居民2370人，计478户，姓氏有陈、古、钟等；耕地388亩、山地9572亩，荔枝种植面积3876亩，其中桂味、糯米糍等品种约2000亩。2009年，上海潮汕商会人士捐资建了茶园学校教学楼和钟厝村老年人活动中心。[2]
