南溪村是汕头市潮南区雷岭镇下辖的行政村，位于大南山腹地，因村南有一条溪涧而得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
南溪村创建于明嘉靖二年（1523年）。自明清至民国初年，隶潮阳县黄陇都，1950年划入雷岭乡，1958年起为南溪大队，1983年划归茶园乡，1986年更名南溪村委会，1992年编入茶园管理区，1999年复设村委会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
居民1477人，计313户，以刘姓为主；耕地336亩、山地2510亩，荔枝种植面积1930亩，是全镇10个省定贫困村之一（博雅地名网所载）。[1]
