东老村是汕头市潮南区雷岭镇下辖的行政村，在镇区东南约3公里处，与惠来县华湖镇美园村相邻，辖东老、石夹两个自然村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村东有一片田洋，旧名东洋，后分为东新、东老两村。[1]明天顺元年（1457年），张姓先祖自福建迁来定居。[1]
自明清至民国初年，隶潮阳县黄陇都，1921年属第九区；1950年划入雷岭乡，1958年起为东老大队，1983年划归老东洋乡，1986年更名称东老村委会，1992年编入老东洋管理区，1999年复称村委会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村内居民3858人，计715户，姓氏有张、陈、杨、林、李、方、黄等；有耕地569亩、山地5976亩，种荔枝、香蕉。[1]2020年8月，东老村入选首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村（荔枝）。[1]
