鱼窝头村在东涌镇西南部，分含珠、长安、大益围、四东、四长、四大六片，是“鱼窝头”这一地名的起源地；东涌蝴蝶楼也在村内。^[1]^[2]

历史沿革[edit]

清光绪三十年（1904），何、周二姓建村。传说约在1775年，今大新队有个多鱼的水坑，叫“鱼窝”，与东深村的“虾窝”合称鱼虾窝。1959年7月黄阁公社改隶中山，长莫、长联、长城三个生产队因此改归鱼窝头公社，由本村管理。^[1]^[2]

东涌蝴蝶楼位于村内一家糖业公司院内，修建于20世纪30年代，2008年12月被公布为广州市文物保护单位（第七批），类别为近现代史迹与代表性建筑。^[1]

据村情介绍，全村面积5.4平方千米，可耕地连鱼塘共5700亩，有1737户，常住4232人。以农业为主，潺菜种植成为“一村一品”品牌，养殖逐步转向甲鱼、桂花鱼等；工业企业14家。^[2]
