东涌村坐落在东涌镇的中心，东涌街就在村境内，村名由此而来。四周依次是南涌、东导、官坦、石基、大稳等村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立之初，这里归番禺县一区沙鼻乡。1953年东涌乡成立，管着东涌、南涌、东导、官坦；1958年后东导、官坦另立大队，南涌到1965年也分出；1984年称东涌乡，1987年设村民委员会。[1][2]
人口与经济[edit]
据村情介绍，全村面积2.87平方千米，耕地2568亩，共1080户，户籍居民2729人，另有外来人口5452人，村民多姓郭、黎、陈、何、梁。[2]2013年工农业总产值约1.0亿元，工业占7286万元，集体经济收入638万元。[2]
