历史沿革[edit]
梁、冼、黄、郭等姓的先辈在清末民初迁入，来处有佛山、市桥、鱼窝头和沙湾。1953年村属东涌乡，公社化后并入官坦大队，1965年独立为东导大队；1984年称乡，1987年设村民委员会。[1][2]
石坝遗址[edit]
清末，东涌口水闸以东约100米的水下筑有一道呈之字形、直通大刀沙岛的石坝，用来防备敌军由水路进入。抗日战争时期，石坝使日军汽船搁浅；1945年后大部分拆除，20世纪70年代疏浚沙湾河道时再次清除，现仅余一座航道灯立在原址。[2]

据村情介绍，全村面积3平方千米，耕地2081亩，805户、8058人，村内有内外资企业26家。[2]
