1951年隶属浮山区红丰乡；1958年归浮山公社红岭大队；1983年归东山区红岭乡；1986年自红岭乡分出，设立西山村委会；1990年划为西山管理区；1999年改设西山村委会，归东山镇，延续至今[1]。

姓氏[edit]

据维基百科，涂孟盛的第三子定居西山村[2]。

2026年1月，西山村获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」称号；2019年9月，西山村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
