龙湾村位于太平镇北部，村委会距镇政府约0.5公里，辖34个村民小组。[1]村名因原龙湾大队的行政中心设在本村而得，沿用至今。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年为龙湾乡，1958年成为龙湾大队。1983年重新设乡，小秦村划归其下。1986年为村委会，1989年为管理区，1999年又是村委会。[1]2019年9月，龙湾村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单；2026年1月，获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]

人口与产业[edit]

村域总面积约22.7平方千米，耕地2556亩，鱼塘217亩，总人口5363人、1419户。土地缺水，灌溉较为困难，以水稻、花生和竹笋为主。龙湾工业区交通便利，工厂较多；抽水蓄能电站的下库区和营地位于小秦、山边一带。[1]
