历史沿革[edit]
村名来自村委会驻地附近的七星塘。[1] 这里在1950至1956年是区，其后依次改为乡、大队；1984年起恢复乡的建制，1986年设村民委员会，1989年又叫管理区，到1998年10月才由恩平市人民政府批复，定为今天的名称。[1]
经济[edit]
全村583户，耕地2085亩。[1] 种植水稻、西洋菜、甘蔗、番薯、花生、木薯，龙眼是特产：热水朗、地古田两个自然村沿通往大莲的村道，连片栽有龙眼树。[1][2] 村里有小水电站和金属矿资源；百度百科记，2011年人均收入6492元，来源主要是龙眼、淮山和外出打工；村里另有七星塘经济合作社管理集体资产。[2]
