龙湾村是怀集县怀城街道下辖的行政村，在县城郊区，距县城2公里，水陆交通方便，辖12个村民小组。[1]
地名由来[edit]
居民点位于河湾处，村民视为祥瑞之地，称作龙湾。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
名称与建制先后为龙湾高级社（1955年）、龙湾大队（1958年）、龙湾乡（1983年11月）、龙湾村委会（1987年）、龙湾管理区（1989年4月）、龙湾村民委员会（1998年）。[2]
经济[edit]
村情材料称有641户、2954人，耕地510亩；南巴、上下圩等自然村种植的葱、蒜、芫荽在县城一带有名。2008年生产总值1383万元，人均收入5827元。[1]村里公路沿线开有饮食店13间、维修店20间、士多店70间，山地租给外来投资者种植速生林，村内外来投资的企业有10多家。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，龙湾村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
